To avoid panic attacks there’s a few things that you need to be aware if you have panic disorder. By knowing just a few critical things you can substantially decrease both the intensity and the frequency of your panic attacks will.

One of the first things that you need to understand about your panic disorder is that your panic attacks are triggered by a combination of a few things. Of course you probably already know or have read, that stress already plays a key role in triggering your panic attacks.

But what you may not know is that certain foods, drinks, medicines, and drugs that you consume. or do not consume, can also trigger panic attacks.

So to avoid your panic attacks need to make sure that you do not consume certain foods, drinks, medicines or drugs.

Since panic attacks are actually a release of the adrenal fluid in your body you need to avoid anything that is a stimulant that can trigger the adrenal glands in your body.

So you must avoid caffeine, energy drinks, tea, soda’s with caffeine, certain medicines like nasal medicines, and drugs such as methamphetamines, and alcohol.

Yes even alcohol. If you have panic attacks you may notice that after a night of drinking when you wake up in the morning you feel kind of “tweaky” or nervous.

After a hangover you do not want to drink coffee, or sodas to have caffeine in it. Or anything that has a stimulant for that matter.

You also want to eat healthy. By eating balanced meals and eating high potency vitamins every day you can avoid panic attacks very easily.

Do not overlook how powerful high potency vitamins can be for you. Just after a few days you already notice a decrease in your stress levels. So that’s why I recommend to find a multivitamin that are high in B. complex, niacin, etc.

If you do not learn how to avoid your panic attacks it can actually cause long-term psychological problems that can affect not only your relationships with people but your job performance as well.

Overcoming panic attacks is one of the most perplexing questions for those who suffer from panic disorder.

People often wonder if panic attacks are truly a medical condition, or something that is manifested in their own mind. Well technically it is a medical condition because it’s actually a disorder, a mental disorder.

But panic attacks is far more common than any other type of mental disorder such as schizophrenia, or bipolar. Panic attacks can lead to panic disorder. Panic disorder is developed when he have more frequent panic attacks work starts affecting your daily life routines. Where is panic attacks is referred to a specific panic attack occasionally.

But how do you overcome panic attacks?

Can you overcome a panic attack?

Since panic attacks often only last for several minutes the short answer is yes you can overcome a panic attack by riding it out. However if you mean overcoming panic attacks as in not to have them ever again, then that’s a little more complex of the question.

Since panic attacks are manifested in one’s mind compounded by elements around them as well as other elements such as certain foods drugs or medications as trigger points, there certain things that you can do to avoid your panic attacks and overcoming them on a long-term basis.

You can avoid certain foods such as stimulants like caffeine, cough medicines, energy drinks, things of that sort to prevent panic attack triggers.

So by eliminating those specific elements in your life you can overcome a good portion of your panic attacks.

Panic heart attack symptoms can be one of the most frightening experiences you could ever have when you’re having a panic attack.

In fact one of the most common misdiagnosed for a panic attack is that you’re having a heart attack.

Your body can feel all kinds of crazy symptoms when you’re having a panic attack that can mimic a heart attack such as tightness in the chest, heart palpitations, numbness in arms.

But the real clue that you’re not really having a heart attack is that you feel like you’re going crazy, scared to death, or a sense of depersonalization before you feel the actual panic attack symptoms that can mimic that you’re having a heart attack.

Having these types of panic symptoms can be very confusing and frightening for people that typically sends them rushing to the emergency room at their local hospital only to be turned away telling them that they been having a panic attack.

Tips For Panic Attack Symptoms
People get upset at themselves when they have panic attack symptoms.

They get the feeling that they should be in control of themselves and if they don’t have that control they feel stupid.

When you are having that “moment” that you slip into a panic attack don’t worsen the situation by hating yourself that you allowed this to happen.

Some people use the distraction method to try to take their mind of the panic attack symptoms their feeling.

Examples of distraction can be as simple as chewing gum or…

Concentrating on thinking about pleasant feelings you have felt in the past by imagining that you are their or experiencing it while your having panic symptoms

Concentrating on things that are immediatelly around you such as watching televisons or singing a song outloud

Drinking water

Tryin to talk to somebody

Listening to music

Bouncing a ball

Moving around or doing very light excercises such as walking briskly

If your mind is really making you feel like your going crazy and you feel anxious, scared or you have an intense fear of dying, tell yourself that you have felt this way many, many times before and that you survived and this panic attack is no different.

If you are feeling heart palpitations tell yourself its because your body is releasing adrenaline into your bloodstream and it is causing you to feel the rush and tell yourself that this will pass.

Your panic attack symptoms will pass naturally so don’t try to end it because it will pass on its own.

When people are under stress there can be physical, emotional as well as cognitive reactions. Logical thinking can be disrupted, attention span can be decreased, and intrusive thoughts and confusion.

Its hard to keep expectations of yourself high but don’t let that get your self-esteem down. Accept your panic disorder and remember millions (yes millions) of people have panic attacks.

It all makes perfect sense because after all we are just animals anyway. We have to be fed and nurtured and not by a bunch of man made processed foods that suck out all the nutrients before they even enter our body….

You ever notice how great you feel after eating a good balanced meal?

The problem is that if you have panic disorder or suffer from panic and or anxiety attacks, your body needs some xtra vitamins and minerals to balance stress levels and to keep our neurotransmitters working correctly.

You can do this by taking vitamin supplements. However not just any vitamin supplement. Most vitamin supplements that you buy at your local super market won’t cut it. Neither will those popular mainstream vitamins you see advertised in woman or men’s magazines. For the most part those are a joke.

Have you ever compared popular mainstream vitamin supplements side by side to a special high potency multi vitamin before? Well I have, and have done so for many years as a fitness enthusiast. Unfortunately I also have panic disorder since I was 12 years old.

What I learned is that people with panic and or anxiety attacks need higher doses of specific vitamins and herbs to stay stable.

Specifically B-Complex as well as a bunch of other herbs that you probably never even heard of.

The 12-in-One MultiVitamin contains the key nutrients, minerals and fruit & vegetable concentrates you need inside an easy to swallow soft gel.

I’ve had symptoms of PVC Heart Beats and Panic Attacks since I was around 12 years old. I’m now almost 42. So If I can live this long with them I’m sure you can too.

[1] Premature Ventricular Complexes (PVC’s)

PVC’s are extra electrical impulses arising from one of the cardiac ventricles in the heart, usually the left ventricle.

Basically PVC’s are when your heart skips beats from its normal rythm which are mostly harmless if your healthier otherwise. Millions of people have PVC heart beats as well as panic disorder. They can also be entirely seperate but typically go hand in hand because PVC heart beats can cause people to be teriffied that they happen to them. What this does is heightens the persons awarness that they have them which fuels their fear to have another one. This cycal affect is basically fearing fear itself which is what panic attacks are. Fear of fearing.

Anyway, I’m still not sure what caused my PVC heart beats the panic attacks or the PVC heart beats causing me to have panic attacks. But what I do know is that they are somehow related.

When I first got them I was about 12. I remember it was shortly after I was really sick. Either days or just a couple of weeks. I remember I spent the night at a friends house and in the morning I felt my heart skip some beats and scared me really bad. Eventually I developed panic attacks around that time I think because I feared them and caused me to develop panic attacks.

Also it might be important to note that around this time I was also having lots of anxiety related issues. I moved 3 times in the course of a few months. First I lived with my mom since my parents separated when I was bout 4 or 5 years old. Then I went to go live with my dad when I was bout 11 years old. I stayed with him for 1 year until I moved back with my mom because my step mom was severely mentally abusing me. I was with my mom for about 1 month before my brother, mom, and myself moved to another town with a new boyfriend she had met. Not sure how long she new him because I was living with my dad for the previous year.

Before I get to the next point I want to throw in here that about a year before I went to go live with my dad I had almost drowned in the ocean when we capsized our fishing boat off the coast of Fort Bragg, Ca on Easter morning. Interesting enough that was the exact time when “Jaws” the movie was released.

When we capsized the boat from the massive swells off the coast a few hundred yards from shore, the rip tide was quickly sucking me out to sea. No matter how hard I swam I couldn’t swim towards shore. My uncle who was also tossed out of the boat began throwing me ahead of him telling me to swim. I guess I was so frightened that I was crawling all over my brother almost drowning him too. We could not hold on to the boat any longer because it had sunk in the deep water from the swells. It was just a small 12-14 ft aluminum boat. Thinking back I have no idea what the hell my dad and uncle were thinking taking kids out to sea WITHOUT life jackets! While I was trying to swim I realized that I lost my crutches. Yes I had been using crutches because I twisted my knee playing baseball about 2 weeks before. Thank God I did not have a cast on my leg or I would have immediately sank to the bottom!

Well anyways while I was trying to swim to shore I kept thinking that sharks were going to take a bite into me and tear me to pieces at any second because I had just seen the movie “JAWS”. I was scared to death, not only that, I felt I was drowning too. As soon as I would get swept under by the swells my uncle somehow would grab me and toss me forward toward the direction of shore. I did mange to see a crowd gathering on shore watching us. I kept thinking to, myself “why aren’t these people helping me?”, “why are they just standing there, I’m drowning”

My mind began to get really cloudy and felt waterlogged, also my body was moving slower I was getting disorientated from the cold water and I was exhausted from swimming as we approached about 50-100 yards from the shoreline. The massive water swells and surf were pounding me and kept sucking me to sea. I was so close but I just couldn’t manage to swim to shore. The water was too heavy & powerful and was slowly taking me. My uncle, who was a military man based in Fort Bragg at the time kept yelling at me “swim”, “swim”, “dig”, “dig” as I was now on the edge of the sandy shore as the waves kept pounding on me.

I finally managed to lay exhausted on the edge of the beach as the waves kept hitting my legs. I was completely numb and exhausted. My head felt like it had water in it. I couldn’t move any more I just lay there like a seal on the beach. I remember being angry as I looked at the gathered people. Nobody came up to me to see if I was all right.

My uncle made it to shore too and tried to retrieve the boat from the ocean waters but the pounding surf smashed it into several pieces.

My dad nearly drowned himself as he tried to save himself. He was wearing one of my uncles military jackets loaded down with fishing weights. He had to take the jacket off at sea and managed to make it to a rocky point.

My brother also made it to shore but weird I never saw him make it there. In fact I don’t remember even seeing him after I made it.

Soon after this accident I developed an intense fear of the sounds of jet engines. Ok you might be saying yea that is weird. But here’s why…

Jet engines sound EXACTLY like crashing pounding surf. Have you ever been to the ocean before? Then you know that the sounds of crashing waves are quite loud and have a rumbling sound to it.

Well I developed a phobia of anything that sounded rumbly like waves and more specifically jet engines. In Sacramento at that time we had an Air Force base about 5 miles away and they would several times daily test jet engines by firing them up for about 30 seconds at a time. The sound would cause me to instantly stop what I was doing and panic, if I was in the house I would run to the door of the house and look outside to see if the waves were coming to wash me out to sea. If I was outside I would look around too see if the waves were coming to get me. I know its sounds completely crazy and stupid but this is what can happen to people when they have a terrible near death experience and develop PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder)

Ok, so moving on to the rest of what I was telling you about when we moved about a year later to live with my mom’s boyfriend.

Shortly after I started in my new Jr. High School in this new town in N. California called Chico, I started to get really intense feelings of death. I became afraid to die. The feelings were so intense I would almost have an outer body feeling of unreality. Like I was just an object and nothing more but a blip in the universe. The feelings were so intense but would only last about 30 seconds or so, just enough to scare the crap out of me.

I developed a phobia of sorts of dying. I was scared to death to die and became fixated on this. I think this is what ultimately led to my first panic attacks, which I mentioned in the beginning at my friends house.

Every time I would have a panic attack my heart would skip beats for up to 45-60 minutes until my body became so exhausted that it was like taking a tranquilizer and they would stop and I would fall asleep. But as soon as I woke up I was living in constant fear that it would happen again so I would have panic attacks just like that almost everyday. It has severely affected my thought process and who I am over the course of years because of this.

I have NEVER seen a doctor over this and have learned on my own how to get over panic attacks or how to deal with them.

It got to the point that I was afraid to exert myself to a level of my heart increasing just a little bit. I would not run more than few yards or go swimming or anything like that in fear it might set it off.

Over the years I have developed a hyper sensitive keen sense to know exactly how fast my heart is beating at any given moment and if it has skipped a beat or not.

It was always my dream to be able to run or exert myself without fear of fear itself, which seems to set my panic attacks and pvc’s off

Over the years I have been able to have them less and less as each year goes by (panic attacks) but occasionally I will have a pvc heart skipper. Sometimes this will be a few times a day other times I will not have them for several weeks.

For the most part I do not get panic attacks when my heart skips beats unless I’m already seriously stressed out and that hasn’t happened in several years now.

I also learned that certain foods can make me more susceptible to panic attacks or help them out.

Through years and years I have been able to get in tune with my body and know what it wants and doesn’t want.

The primary things you need to always stay away from are any type of stimulants. Obviously panic attacks are like having a surge of adrenaline rushing through your body. So any thing that stimulates your body and heart or nervous system can make you have a panic attack.

Stay away from caffeine! Which includes coffee, tea, and sodas like Mountain dew, jolt, coke, Pepsi, and even some orange drinks. Just be aware of exactly what you’re drinking in your sodas or other drinks.

Certain foods might also cause you to have PVC heart beats or panic attacks and this seems to vary greatly from person to person.

Example: I noticed that drinking milk will give me a lot more PVC heart beats and panic attacks then I normally would, in fact quite a bit more to where I realized this years ago. So I cut out milk from my diet. Some people suggest starchy foods will give them more PVC heart beats or panic attacks. Foods like breads, cereal, past, rice.etc.

So not take recreational drugs like smoking pot or Methamphetamine, crack, crank, ice, etc.

Think of your body as being allergic to all stimulants like including the items above.

Now there are also foods that can help make your Panic attacks and PVC heart beats much less frequent. In fact to almost non-existent to non-at all.

Eating balanced meals and cutting out all junk foods or low quality foods like fast food will help dramatically to cut back on your PVC heart beats and panic attacks.

Take a high potency vitamin supplement high in B-Complex (super nutrition foods offers an excellent multi vitamin) and eat foods like green vegetables such as broccoli, green beans, and peas. Basically just remember to eat good well-balanced meals!

You have made a wise decision. The treatments for panic attack disorder vary but they will help you to overcome this terrifying and debilitating problem. You will be able to resume a normal life without the ever-present fear that another attack is just around the corner.

The first thing your doctor will do is a physical examination, including any medical problems you have had in the past. This is so he can find out if your problem is related to a physical reason. Do not worry that nothing will be found. Every illness has a reason and this is an illness. You are not alone as there are about 2.4 million people in America that have this disorder.

Finding the reason behind the attacks is the first step to recovery. Some researchers believe that this may a hereditary problem. It could have been passed on to you by one or both of your parents. There are also physical reasons for panic attacks. An abnormality in the brain can cause you to experience panic attacks.

If there are no physical reasons found that will explain these attacks, the next step may be to refer you to a mental health professional. They have been trained to help you by diagnosing your problem and finding the right treatment. This is nothing to be ashamed of. The stigma that once was attached to seeking help from a psychiatrist is no longer what it once was. The main reason for the stigma in the first place was fear and lack of understanding. Human nature is to either laugh or fear something they do not understand.

One of the first things a mental health professional may check for is if you have had a lot of stress. Major stress in you life can trigger these attacks. When something very traumatic happens, this is one of the ways the mind reacts to the stress that is has undergone. So you see this is not the end of the world for you. There are real treatments that can help you to get back to normal.

When you go to the psychiatrist to seek help, they will use certain tools to help them find the underlying cause of the reason for your attacks. The special interview techniques and assessment means at their disposal are the best available. You will start to understand the problem you are facing and will no longer feel that you are alone and slowly losing your mind.

Major disasters can trigger these attacks. They are a result of post traumatic stress disorder. Many times when people survive a catastrophe that is of a great magnitude, the feelings they experience during this time are pushed back in order to deal with what is going on around them. These feeling will resurface because they have not been dealt with. By learning what the reason behind the panic attacks is caused by and why you are having them, you have conquered half the battle.

Example: I believe there were two reasons that caused me to have my panic disorder (yours may be different). I was locked in a sliding bed drawer and left there for hours when I was about 4 years old. Causing a traumatic experience to me. Later when I was 10 years old I almost drowned in the ocean when our fishing boat capsized.

Again this is just what I believe has caused my panic disorder. There may be other reasons that could be causing yours…

However please do not hesitate to find out how to stop your panick attacks for fear you believe no one will understand what you are feeling. I waited almost 30 years until I got ahold of myself because I was scared and confused before I decided to take action. Don’t wait as long as I did for the sake of your happiness.

How To Stop Panic Attacks

I’m going to share with you a few tips on how to stop your panic attacks. I’ve had them for almost 30 years so I believe I have some information that will help you out….

This is how to stop your panic attacks

Tell yourself in your mind that you have gone through a panic attack before and you lived, and this attack is no different. Laugh out loud at it and do reverse psychology on it. When you lapse, immediately get involved in something to keep your mind instantly busy to take your mind off the immediate thoughts until your manifested thoughts subside.

Force yourself to get your mind involved in a funny television show. If you can’t sit for obvious reasons stand up and watch it and pace around until your mind eases. Take a few deep breaths.

Start drinking a bunch of water telling yourself in your mind that it cools you down and makes you feel better. Drinking water Is like an IV the hospital gives you. It works!

Stand by your computer and go to YouTube and watch funny videos until your thoughts subside

Start talking to someone about anything if you can stand still and not look like your freaked out. (Depends on the level) until your mind eases.

Don’t fight it. Let it come and take its course and assure yourself that you will live because you have had them before. Also remember that as the author of these tips I’m sharing with you, that I’ve had severe panic disorder of the worst kind and if I can live this long with this disorder than so can you….

The more you beat your panic attack away from the places that make you feel comfortable the more will power you will get at beating the panic attack next time in places that normally make you feel uncomfortable and keep you from lapsing when your out and about.

Those were some of the techniques I’ve used over the last 30 years to help stop my panic attacks when I was having them.

After nearly 30 years, I do not get panic attacks anymore. But I use to have severe panic attacks where my heart would actually start skipping beats while I was having an attack along with all the other panic attack symptoms that are so typical but very terrifying. Like an intense feeling of unreality like I was going to die of a heart attack or stop breathing any second as my chest was hurting and the palms of my hands were sweating.

Well…. I don’t want to get into to much more detail as I know this can also stress you out and possibly lead into your own panic attack. Just remember this… you will not die from your panic attack.

I also want to tell you something extremely important about your panic disorder that you may or may not know….

The couple of techniques I shared with you above will only help you while your actually having a panic attack. To stop your panic attacks forever you need to get to the root of your disorder which is breaking your perpetual loop of being afraid to have your next panic attack, which leads to you obsessing when your next panic attack will come.

Its a vicious circle and it all sounds crazy, but your afraid of being afraid.

If you don’t stop worrying and obsessing about when your next panic attack will come they will just keep compounding daily, weekly, monthly and yearly and can have significant negative affects on your personality that can lead to avoidence of certain places or things. You will also develop poor relationships with people as you start withdrawling and become more introverted, which can also not only affect your relationships, but your job performance, your quality of life, and your overall health.

Since your panic attacks are triggered by fearing fear itself, then Your probably wondering how do you stop worrying about when your next panic attack will come if it completely scares the hell out of you each time that you have a panic attack?

How Do you break your perpetual loop of fear that causes you to constantly think about when your next panic attack will come, which then triggers yet more panic attacks inside you?

How do you stop your panic attacks forever? Is it even possible?

Honestly after 30 years I had no clue it was even possible to stop my panic attacks forever since my constant fear over the years had deeply damaged my thought process from all the panic attacks I had.

Maybe you’ve only had one panic attack before? Maybe you’ve had panic attacks only a few times? Maybe you have panic attacks all the time like I use to?

Whatever your case, I can tell you that based not only on my first hand experiences having panic attacks myself for years and years, but also being highly educated about panic disorder, that your panic attacks are not over. They will only continue to get worse over time and eventually haunt you for the rest of your life unless you find out how to stop your panic attacks forever.
